JAC JHTET 2026 – Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test
Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has officially started the online application process for JHTET 2026. This is a mandatory eligibility test for candidates who want to become government teachers in Primary (Class 1 to 5) and Junior (Class 6 to 8) schools in Jharkhand.
Qualifying JHTET is compulsory for appointment as a teacher in Jharkhand government and private schools. The test is conducted in two papers – Paper 1 for Primary Level and Paper 2 for Junior Level.

Application Fee
For Single Paper (Paper I or Paper II):
- General / BC / EWS → ₹1300
- SC / ST → ₹700
For Both Papers:
- General / BC / EWS → ₹1500
- SC / ST → ₹800
Eligibility Criteria for JHTET 2026
Primary Level (Paper 1 – Class 1 to 5): Candidates must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks and should have D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed or be appearing in the final year.
Junior Level (Paper 2 – Class 6 to 8): Graduation degree with B.Ed or appearing in final year of B.Ed / 4-year integrated B.A/B.Sc B.Ed.
Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for appearing in JHTET.
